Seeds


 The gardener, sowing seeds all day
Doesn't expect to see trees by nightfall.

Yet I fold my arms daily
In frustration, waiting.

There was noise

To Convalesce

To convalesce,
I recommend a cat
By your side -
Curled into a crescent moon,
Head upside down and smiling
In her sleep.
Let her show you
The sanctity of stillness
Made with soft shapes
And circles.
